An entrepreneur approached us with an idea for providing an efficient heat carrier system for use in homes without a gas supply. The water heater works in a similar way to a domestic gas boiler, but uses a series of electric heating elements within a heat exchanger to heat water. This water can then be pumped to radiators or used as a domestic hot water supply. Using our experience of electric shower unit design, we were able to produce a solution with the safety parameters in place.

Did you know...
Water expands as it gets hot and the pressure in a central heating system will increase as a result. To prevent pipes bursting through a build up of pressure, sealed heating systems (usually running off a combi-boiler) have an expansion tank that allows for an expansion in the volume of water.
